Émanation terminale devenue déversoir à haine de tous les pires gangs de Paris (Frustration, Cavaliers, Fix-it, Master Master Wait, M-sixteen), le désormais quintet Last Night a fini sa mue et accouche de l'album de l'immaturité – celle qui consiste à jouer du punk comme au premier jour, comme s'il n'y avait que ça, alors que tout le monde est vieux et que ce n'est même plus la mode. Quinze ans après le retour du retour, on serait en droit d'attendre un morceau électro par ci, des textes en français par là. Apparemment, non. Et quand cinq mecs entêtés jusqu'à la connerie jouent la seule musique qu'ils savent jouer sans même l'excuse de la jeunesse, et persistent dans le jeu vain du rock'n'roll en prenant de leur temps et de leur argent pour aller enregistrer des disques tirés à quelques centaines d'exemplaires, il n'y a que deux façons de les empêcher de venir incendier toutes les caves de France avec une armée de chinois équipés de lance-flammes : malheureusement, aucune ne marche.

"Friendly Fires", le second album de Last Night, sortira comme le précédent sur Le Turc Mécanique en janvier 2017. Aucun des membres du groupe n'avait prévu, il y a vingt ans, d'être encore en vie à cette date.

Lately can't get this album out of my head. On repeat. Simple yet really effective structures and patterns, great tones. Melodies sound cold and kind of industrial/coldwave influenced. Great stuff, epic album cover :D comaunite

I first heard this some time ago and lost it in my collection of digital downloads. Then one day came across it again. The raw energy that powers it its simplicity no frills. It is pure pleasure to listen too. Even though I do not understand the lyrics. It is great to hear something that is not sung in English done with style. 💿;
